Courage Club Corner This month members of our Courage Club were guests of The Boon Project at a screening of VINCIBLE, part of the Charleston Film Festival. This independent documentary film was made by a young adult cancer survivor specifically to highlight the issues facing young adults impacted by cancer. It was raw, powerful, and well done. Afterwards, we participated in a Q&A with the film makers as well as local cancer experts and advocates. We're looking forward to working with the makers of VINCIBLE again in the future to pilot some of their materials for support groups and medical teams. |

Several Courage Club members attended the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Student of the Year Finale as guests of LLS and The Boon Project. It was a night to celebrate research towards a cure for all cancers and to honor local students who participated in the Student of the Year campaign. The Boon Project attend in support of Team Forever Strong who provided babysitting during our February Courage Club event. |

Fitness Force! Fitness Force is a new program aimed at helping cancer survivors meet their own individual fitness goals through accessibility and accountability. We will host monthly group workouts as well as monthly group runs, but will also encourage informal meet ups for exercise and accountability. The program kicked off in February and we are looking for survivors and supporters (volunteer workout buddies!) who want to be involved. Please email Katherine@boonproject.org for more information! |

We held our first Fitness Force group workout is at Fit Body Bootcamp in Mt. Pleasant. The coaches were great to work with and several of our survivors and supporters continue to meet there for workouts. We appreciate them hosting us and helping encourage us all during the workout! |

|
We also held our first group run at the Cooper River bridge! ALL ability levels are welcome at our group classes and runs (including walkers!). If you're interested in joining us, please contact Katherine@boonproject.org. APRIL FITNESS FORCE EVENT: Join us Saturday, April 27 at 9AM for Yoga in Hampton Park. Mission Possible at CDS! We were invited to partner with Charleston Day School as part of their "Mission Possible" day of service. Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students listened attentively to a read aloud and a short talk about how The Boon Project spreads kindness. Then they got to work helping us be a boon to the local cancer community by painting 60 Courage Cups, making sweet cards, and more! We're looking forward to working with CDS again in the future. It was a wonderful morning of service! |

If your school, church group, team, scout group, etc. is interested in scheduling a Courage Cup painting session, please contact Katherine@boonproject.org. |
