A resource for teachers and learners, a quote to inspire, and a question to ponder. It really is the little things we do consistently that lead to great outcomes.

A quick but important announcement before we get into this week's '360'.

Please check your email Promotions or Spam folder to see if the '360' Newsletter is being sent to your Inbox.

Thanks!

Many in Florida are assessing the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. Our students, especially those new to your community, may need help to identify local resources to help those impacted by the storm.

In addition to PD resources for language and literacy educators, I am including resources provided by state and federal agencies that you might share with your adult learners.

Please reply to this newsletter with any additional resources that I should share.

Thank you!

Using AI to Develop Digital Literacy, Language, Life, and Work Skills

Artificial generative intelligence (AI) offers an unprecedented opportunity to support the development of literacy, language, and critical thinking skills. In our world of rapidly widening digital divide, it is paramount that teachers integrate the use of these powerful and accessible applications in teaching and learning. In this webinar, the presenter will model strategies for applying AI to literacy, language, life, and work skills. The following webinar is ideal for adult education teachers and instructional/curriculum designers seeking to enhance their and their learners’ digital skills.

Quote

"During natural disasters or emergencies, the most resilient communities - places that suffer the fewest casualties and rebuild more quickly - are not the wealthiest neighborhoods or ones that have spent the most on physical infrastructure, but rather the communities with the strongest social infrastructure."

-Michelle Wu

Question
