April is Second Chance month and Volunteer Appreciation Month. At Bridges to Hope, second chances aren't just a belief, they're our mission. We celebrate the power of transformation and the many lives renewed through our volunteers' support. Every sorted donation, every piece of furniture delivered, and every encouraging conversation you have makes a world of difference. Thank you, volunteers!

Give to Lincoln Day

Give to Lincoln Day is rapidly approaching! Mark your calendars for May 30, 2024 (but the giving starts May 1st!), and follow us on all our social media channels listed below to stay updated on our goals, progress and to be inspired by the stories of the individuals we serve.

Every donation between May 1st and May 30th makes a bigger impact because participating nonprofits also receive a proportional share of a $650,000 match fund!

Hope Village

We have some groundbreaking news: the Lincoln Community Foundation has awarded us a grant, and soon, we hope to be moving dirt on the Hope Village site! Thank you, Lincoln Community Foundation, for designating $10,000 to the construction of Hope Village for special use from the Affordable Housing Fund (590112).

Now, as we enter this exhilarating phase, we invite you to deepen your impact. All contributions during Give to Lincoln Day will go towards the building of TWO tiny homes! You can give tangible second chances, and ignite hope, while making your Give to Lincoln Day donations towards these homes!

Staff Spotlight

Jan Riedman is a familiar face at Bridges to Hope. She has served for many years as a member of our board and dedicated volunteer. More recently, she joined the staff as the Office Assistant and manages data entry, donation pick-ups, assembly of care packages and much more!

Jan says, "We all come with our individual life experiences and have made choices that impact where we are today. My years of working with people who have experienced incarceration have taught me that if I look for the good in others, I will likely find it. Watching them find their “goodness” and value makes it worth it. We are more alike than we are different, both wanting to find purpose in the life we have been given."
