Hello newsletter subscribers! I'll start off this month by sharing some actual news for once. Alongside many other local businesses and creatives, I was recently featured by Voyage Magazine's BoldJourney initiative, where they asked me about burnout, skills, and whatever else I've been doing for the last few years.

...and I have a real update to share this time!

 I recently visited Harmony to see and measure the area where my entry will be installed, and I determined that the right course of action would be to print the illustrations smaller than originally planned. It allows them to be displayed in a single row, like a timeline (see updated mockup below), because isn't that the whole point, after all? Due to the smaller dimensions and after I weighed various frame-related pros and cons, I was able to find a custom framing option that was more affordable than anticipated. That means my fundraiser goal is now significantly lower!

This past week I had the pieces printed by LaFontsee, and they look gorgeous. I also ordered my frames (which have already arrived!) and I can't wait to see everything all together up on the wall. So, short of actual installation, it's all taken care of! At this point any additional donations will go toward the relatively small amount I paid out-of-pocket. A heartfelt thank you to everybody who generously donated already.

Throwback! It has been about a year since I created six different can label designs for Arvon Brewing Co. and it's still one of the most memorable non-medical illustration projects I've ever gotten to work on.
