About the Residency

A little History

Many long time residents may remember the big sale that took place here at Bryn Du when Sallie Jones Sexton, daughter of John S. Jones left Granville. It took place in late September 1976. Many of Sallie's family heirlooms were sold to pay her debts that had accumulated over her years of being involved in running the farm, the Granville Inn and the Playhouse on the Green theatre. Sallie left Granville and moved to Middleburg, VA where she lived until her death in 1998.
