Hello MN-TAC Community,
We have exciting news!
The Minnesota Theater Foundational Standards
for Safety and Accountability
are ready for viewing.
Click HERE to read about The Foundational Standards and access the document.
As subscribers to our site, you are being given this opportunity to visit the updated website and see the document before we post our announcement on social media.
To help people understand what it all means, we have posted an informational video to our homepage, which you can view right now. This video will be played at the beginning of our community meeting on Facebook Live at 12:00 noon Monday October 11th. This meeting will be recorded to view later for those who are unable to attend. It's an opportunity to hear from those who worked on the document and for the community to ask questions.

Please let us know if there are questions you would like us to answer during our live event.

The MN-TAC editing team continues to work on
The Standards Toolkit,
which is similar to existing documents but includes much more for areas not included in other documents, such as production departments.
The Toolkit will include:
Area Specific Standards which will provide goals and strategies for a variety of concerns in all areas of theater making and education.
Standards in Action which will provide policies and procedures for situations from audition notices through post production evaluations.
There was extensive work done over the past year to further develop standards specific to the needs of theater education called
The Minnesota Theater Standards for Education and Learning Spaces.
The work being done to develop them is profoundly important and are currently being finished and formatted. This document will be available as soon as possible.
If you want more information about any of these subjects, please visit the MNTAC.org website.
Thank you so much for all that you do. It's an honor to work with you in the creation of The Foundational Standards, The Standards Toolkit and The Educational Standards, to address harm in our theater community. We will keep plugging away at content for the Standards Toolkit and The Education Standards, and we hope you can join us at noon on October 11th.
With warmest regards,
The MN-TAC Admin Circle
And the Editors Team
