Happy Fall - let the cooler temps begin!!
I just wanted to give a “shout out” to the 2023 Board and Committee members and extend a BIG THANKS to all of them for helping make our neighborhood a safe, attractive and comfortable area in which to live.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such dedicated homeowners who, through numerous volunteer hours, have willingly given their time and talents towards the betterment of our community. Here’s to: VP Courtney Bobbitt (also our Green Valley Council rep.), Treasurer Sharon Foster, Secretary Rich Stottlemire, and Director Andrew Williams.
To committee members: Legal/Safety: Ken Humfleet and Nancy Walls (who graciously hosted ALL the meetings in their home), Linda Lewis, Linda Huckaba and Andrew Williams for keeping a watchful eye on our safety needs and making the improvements necessary in a timely manner. In addition, they are currently in discussion with an HOA attorney regarding creating Rs&Rs and possible amendments to CC&R’s. To the Rules & Regulations committee, Jennifer Dinardo, Tony Dinardo, and Andrew Williams. To the Property Maintenance committee, Beverly Bobbitt, Rich Stottlemire, and Andrew Williams, and their continued efforts towards homeowner’s property upkeep and appropriate compliance. To the Architectural Review Committee; Andrew Williams, Tony Dinardo, and Sharon Foster, the curb address painting is a noticeable improvement, and has added to better identification of our homes. A special thanks to Gudie Price for her generous donation of $460 to help with the cost of the project!
Additionally, our Lamplighter Ken Humfleet has done a super job in maintaining our lampposts and has also assisted some of our new homeowners with a variety of handyman projects. To Cameron Perry, our website has never looked better, and the creation of the Gateway Gab has allowed us to disseminate pertinent information to 98% of our homeowners in fast and effective way - you’re the best!
As you read through this note, you’ll notice that some names appear often. That’s because that person has volunteered to “wear a variety of hats.” Fortunately, the GVTH5 community has benefitted from a few selfless homeowners who accepted these additional positions so the demands of the organization could be met. I would like to commend all those involved in our governance for handling the variety of situations that have come our way – be they simple or difficult – with professionalism and to the best of our abilities. I sincerely hope that the current Board members choose to put their names on the ballot for the 2024 term.
In closing, I would like to invite any GVTH5 homeowner interested in being a part of our governance in 2024, to PLEASE contact our Nominating Committee Chair, Rich Stottlemire at
gvth5hoa@gmail.com with your information.
“Many hands make light work”
