The 23rd annual 4-H PEI Provincial Judging Competition took place at the Dundas Fair on the evening of August 26th, 2022.
Competitors were tasked with judging 4 classes: beef, horse, rabbit, and forages, and then comparing their placings with an experienced judge. The official judges for the event were Bennett Crane (beef), Jackie Harlow (horse), Brandon Malone (rabbit), and Les Halliday (forages).
The results of the competition are as follows:
Junior Division:
1st – Molly Pollock, Morell & Area 4-H Club
2nd – Emma O'Flaherty, Morell & Area 4-H Club
3rd – Alexis Holmes, North River 4-H Club
Intermediate Division:
1st – Cassidy Holmes, North River 4-H Club
2nd – Jenna Pollock, Morell & Area 4-H Club
3rd – Zachary Wood, Dunstaffnage-Marshfield 4-H Club
Senior Division:
1st – Chloe Loane, Brooklyn-Heatherdale 4-H Club
2nd – Molly Loane, Brooklyn-Heatherdale 4-H Club
3rd – Brittany Pollock, Morell & Area 4-H Club
As the winning senior member of the competition, Chloe Loane was selected to represent 4-H PEI at the Canadian National 4-H & Youth Judging Competition in November during Agribition in Regina.
