The Ramapough Lunaape Nation: Excavating Identity, examines the complex history of indigenous Lenape people who continue to inhabit the region of northern New Jersey and southern New York. Their journey for cultural survival, personal agency, dignity and women’s rights is captured in the photographic portraits of Lisa Levart.

The Ramapough Lunaape Nation's continuing fight against the carcinogenic toxic waste left behind on Ramapough land by the Ford Motor Company is at the heart of installations and a pop-up exhibition created by Dr. Anita Bakshi of Rutgers University.

AND on October 25, there will be a free screening of the short documentary

Women of the Ramapough Lenape Nation

by Myles Aronowitz, followed by a panel discussion between Lisa Levart, Mr. Aronowitz and the Ramapough Lenape women featured in this insightful documentary film.
