FALL LANTERN WALK

A free event open to all families

Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 5:30pm

On our land: 1300 Gonzales Road SW, Albuquerque NM 87105

Join us to celebrate the season of shorter, darker days. We'll make the evening come to life with community and magic: Farolitos, lighted lanterns, songs and violin music.

Please bring your own lanterns. We will have a few extras on hand. Feel free to bring a thermos with a warming drink, or bring a reusable mug to get a taste of the hot apple cider and spiced tea we will have available while supplies last.

GREAT CELEBRATION OF OUR COMMUNITY, NEIGHBORS AND PREVIOUS OWNERS

On Sunday November 3 we celebrated together on a beautiful day with the cottonwoods turning golden and cranes flying overhead. We joined with the previous land owner families and neighbors to officially accept this passage of land into our hands. As our future home we honor the responsibilities of this land’s heritage. In addition to our many thanks to all, our Outdoor Circle built 4 compost bins to begin creating healthy growing soil. And our Kitchen Circle created our first common meal cooked and served on the land—delicious organic chili, cornbread, homemade kombucha and more. With all the good energy and cooperative spirit coming together, we celebrated our land on our land, as a growing community. Cheers for the next one!
