Other Brewery News for October: |
Cocksure Today's exciting Press Release: "Our story started four years ago with a belief that we could start our own brewery. We left our full-time jobs in the drinks industry with nothing but a pale ale recipe, a brewing passion to make quality craft beer and a vision to attract more drinkers to the craft beer sector. We had to be cocksure. So we were. Four wild years have since passed and within that time our company has evolved beyond recognition: we have a fantastic team in place, a brewery and taproom in central Bristol and a range of popular beers that we are incredibly proud of (with more to come!). The business has created an identity of its own. A purpose. One that we have decided to embrace with a new identity that positively reflects both what we have achieved so far and where we see ourselves going in the future. We have spent the last six months working away behind the scenes with our talented designer Gavin Andrews of Thirty Three + Rebel (www.r3b3l.me) to bring our values and beliefs to life and into a brand that encompasses everything we’re about… Beer is a conduit for stories. A pub is a place for storytelling. Across the globe, people share stories of life and love over a beer. Our industry is full of stories – some good and some bad – but everybody has one. Stories interact, they cross over, they weave together to form a completely unique entity. We are very proud to announce our new name: TAPESTRY BREWERY |
We don’t want to simply tell our Bristol brew story, to shout about how great we are; our goal is to become a platform for everyone to share their stories. It’s the story of our customers, our consumers, our employees and the people we work with via our charity partnership with Send A Cow over in Africa. We firmly believe that as a business we have a duty to raise awareness of charity and a responsibility as individuals to do our bit to support others less fortunate. You can read more about our partnership and donation model on the website or visit sendacow.org to discover more about what they do. Our new identity is in place as of today. |
It’s been an emotional and challenging process, a hard decision and a leap of faith. Saying goodbye to Cocksure wasn’t something we had to do, but something we wanted to do. It facilitated our brewery dreams becoming a reality and has carried our small business to where we are today. Whilst the business continues to grow, the time is now to evolve. We have updated the look of our beer range, giving each beer a unique name and design inspired by the ancient art of tapestry that reflects the beers character. Our beers continue to be made within our modest self-made brewery in Totterdown, Bristol and the much-loved recipes stay the same." Check out the beautiful new website www.tapestrybrewery.com to see their beer range! |

Croft Ales "Our lively and friendly taproom is conveniently located in Stokes Croft, directly opposite Lakota nightclub. It's open every Friday & Saturday from 3pm to 10pm. Everyone is welcomed so come along and enjoy our great range of beers with cider, wine and soft drinks available too. Rugby World Cup 2019 We’ll also be screening all the key matches from the Group Stage plus the knock-out stage through to the Final on Saturday 2 November. |

Early opening where required with hot breakfast rolls to get you set for kick-off! Checkout our Social Media for full up-to-date details as our schedule develops" |

Dawkins "A very rare beast (beer) indeed....??? Bristol Lager 4.3%....Our head brewer Will Kripner has been toiling away for some time now, as well as a nod to our old head brewer Dave Williams for this beautifully balanced, full flavour, refreshing and very distinctive lager, made with 100% American Crystal hops. Only available at our Tap Room and a very limited selection of pubs across Bristol.." |
"A new brew....Launched Friday 4th...Easton Promise Super-fresh, grassy, hoppy, hazy Gold unfined brew! Made with 2019 season fresh green hops - picked straight from the vine. This is the fourth year we have been brewing this beer in collaboration with the East Bristol Hops Project and again this year we were astounded by the growers efforts! The quality of the hops surpassed by far what we have experienced before this year, which goes to show the dedication and commitment to producing a beer from Bristol, from the ground up..so to speak. These hops are not dried as is usual, capturing all the delicate volatile aromas and flavours from the natural hop oils. This beer will be launched on the 4th of October and will be in and around Bristol. It's a small batch so be sure to catch it while you can!" |

Good Chemistry Beer news: We’ve launched our new cans! The response has been great – thank you if you’ve let us know you’ve bought them or think they look good! The first batches of Kokomo Weekday and Pocket Calculator will be supplemented soon, so keep your eyes peeled! We’re brewing up a storm with new autumn/winter beers this month. As well as bringing back some old favourites like dry rye stout Shadow Future and our rich 6% Baltic porter Becoming North, we also have a new pale and a brown ale for cask, a Weizenbock at 6.3%, plus not one but TWO new IPAs coming out towards the end of October! |
Left Handed Giant Has everyone seen the new tap room in St Phillips yet? Come on over on Friday 4th October, when we're having a party there (see events section) , and then the tap room will open on the first Friday of each month over the winter. |
The Left Handed Giant Brewpub brew kit is now in full action! We are about to have 5 brewed here at LHG Brewpub on, with Days Like This and Intergalactic being hooked up now. Go Slow, the first beer we brewed here, a dry hopped lager, is being racked this week too, so by the weekend we should have the first 6 beers brewed here pouring. The seventh is another lager, so that will be a little while away. Our first cask beer is being brewed next week, so that should be ready in the next few weeks, with the engines being installed just prior to its release. The first brew is a lager, and is still in tank but brews two and three are on the taps in the brewpub now! |
Moor New Beers: “We have Smokey Horyzon; a special seasonal beer that is a firm favourite here in the brewery and everyone is very excited to see it back! It screams Autumn all over! The rye brings a distinctive spice flavour, whilst the addition of smoked malts creates the nostalgia of autumnal mornings after bonfire; crisp and smokey! Coming out w/c 14th. Time & Space: This recipe came from Jude, one of the brewers here. It uses Cashmere hops which brings not only a wonderful taste but a beautiful aroma. Think lemon, peach and tangerine. Truly sublime.Coming out w/c 21st" Tap Room Weekly Events We are running Punk Rock Bingo on Wednesdays, Community Cask on Thursdays and Sour Sundays. |
Wiper & True October sees the launch of our new India Pale Ale, Sundance. Brewed with US big hitters Mosaic and Citra, plus awesome UK hop Olicana, Sundance sits between the West Coast and East Coast styles hailing from the states. Bursting with mango, orange and pineapple and a hint of hedgerow berries, with a satisfyingly bitter finish, this beer is bold and bright exploration of hop character. As the nights draw in, we’ll also be releasing the first of our seasonal beers, starting with a new batch of winter favourite, Plum Pudding Porter, followed by our new Blackberry Porter on cask. Sundance and all the seasonal releases will be pouring at the Tap Room, which is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and remain open throughout the year. |
