Dear Friends, Members, and Colleagues, This is the last month to enter the 2024 FAPA President’s Book Awards Contest. Entries for this year close on April 30, 2024. If you have an eligible book and haven’t submitted it yet, what are you waiting for? Our judges will be completing their evaluations throughout the month of May. Winners will be announced in our June newsletter. Additionally, each winner will be notified by email. As I mentioned in the last newsletter, please mark Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3 on your calendars and save those dates for our annual conference. The links for discounted hotel rooms, conference reservations, and awards ceremony tickets are now active on our website. Make sure to log in as a FAPA member and purchase your tickets early to receive the best rates. If you wish to advertise in our FAPACon 2024 program or plan to be a featured sponsor for the conference, check out the pricing on our website. For more details about business partners or becoming a sponsor, please get in touch with Shena at tashena.place@myfapa.org. Let me remind you again that we are currently accepting donated books for the raffle baskets to help support our Student Award program. Please send your books to Renee. See the raffle donations notification in this newsletter for details. Finally, next month, the nomination committee will release criteria about the requirements and procedures for being nominated to run for a position on FAPA’s Board of Directors. If you are interested in running for a spot on our board, please watch for this announcement in the May newsletter and on social media. That’s it for now. I hope to see all of you at our conference. |
