Greetings Sisters, and I hope this finds you all well!

I would like to introduce myself to those who don't know me and rekindle old friendships with those who do. My name is Helen Dennie, and I have the honor of being elected as District 3 Governor. I have been a member of Daughters since 1980 and have held numerous Charis Eleni chapter offices and served as District 3 Secretary. I am the Audiologist for Newport News Shipbuilding where we build the nuclear carriers and submarines for the US Navy to protect the greatest country in the world. I love walking in the door each day, be it the Medical Clinic or donning PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and heading out to the flight deck of a carrier. I hope to carry that energy over into my newly elected position of District Governor. My family and I are all Wahoos, so we bleed orange and blue.

It was wonderful to see and visit with those who attended our first in-person District 3 Convention in several years. Many thanks go out to our Convention Chair, Brother George Papaspyrou. The food was delicious, the company wonderful, and our first in-person convention ran very smoothly. Thank you again, Brother George, for all the time and work you put in preparing for this weekend! Engagement is my buzzword for this year - I hope to visit as may chapters as I can.
