MK Monley Awarded the Kathy O’Dell Community Service Award by Revitalizing Waterbury MK Monley, art teacher, activist, volunteer, organizer, and founding Board Member of Waterbury MakerSphere, was recently awarded Revitalizing Waterbury’s annual Kathy O’Dell Community Service Award. Current RW Board President Theresa Wood said the award was “long overdue” for Monley. “Her unflagging support of Waterbury over the years has been extraordinary,” Wood said, recalling the aftermath of tropical storm Irene. “Her leadership helped our community recover stronger than ever.” MK has continued to serve the community creatively in a multitude of ways, including the annual River of Light lantern parade and her continued work with MakerSphere. |

Join Bill Whitehair and John Wolfe for three evenings of fly tying lessons followed by a fly fishing lesson in the Lower Pond at the Waterbury Stowe Fish and Game Club. There, you can learn to cast your own flies to Vermont’s favorite fish; the brook trout. We’ll start out tying the classic wooly bugger – a fly any fish in the world would eat. From there, we can explore styles based on the interests of the class. |
