Valentine's Day Cards

Valentine's day is fast approaching! Our residents and our activities team have been busy making Valentine's day cards for our loved ones to share on the 14th of February.

We would highly encourage you all to send us Valentine's day cards for our residents, so that they have a lovely surprise on the special day!

Covid-19 Vaccinations

We are very pleased to say that our Home received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccination on Saturday 23rd January. The vaccination rollout was very smooth and we were praised by the medical team for the level of organisation within the Home to ensure everything went well.

We received the Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine and we cannot thank the medical team that administered the vaccines enough for their support, professionalism and diligence on the day.

The date for the second dose of the vaccine has not yet been confirmed, but we were informed that it would be between 4-12 weeks after the first dose. As soon as we know when we will receive the second vaccine, we will update our website to let everyone know.

To keep everyone informed, we are Covid-free in the Home at this time. Nobody in the Home has tested positive for Covid-19 since December.

Pod Visits update

Due to high demand for visits on our Lantern Lounge, we have added two more visitation slots on Saturday and Sunday morning.

We understand that many family members cannot make visits during the week due to work commitments, so we wanted to give you more opportunities to see your family members in your free time.

If you are able to visit during the week, we would politely request that you please try to make a booking during the week rather than the weekend. We want to give everyone an opportunity to see their family members whenever possible.

Duck Hatching Postponed

Just to keep you all informed, we have had to postpone the Duck Hatching event for our residents again. We try to make this a yearly event, but due to Covid, we have had to postpone the hatching until June this year.

We love running this activity in our Home. The residents enjoy watching the eggs hatching and we keep the ducklings on-site for two weeks to care for them, bathe them and play with them. We will make sure to send pictures when the event happens in June.

Thank you once again for joining our mailing list. We hope to see you all again soon and stay safe!
