SUNDOWNING:  LATE-DAY CONFUSION

The term "sundowning" refers to a state of confusion occurring in the afternoon and spanning into the night.  This causes a variety of behaviors such as pacing, anxiety, and ignoring direction. 

Without notice, the COVID hammer came down.  Again.

Even though I expected this,

it's still a blow.

I find it hard to focus and think. 

I find it hard to smile. 

Yesterday I looked up from my desk and saw the early morning sunrise shimmer through rainclouds.  It made me squint the glimmer was so loud.  Each tiny raindrop poured down with a vengeance and sparkled radiantly. 

It was spectacular. 

I got up and went outside.

I listened.  I breathed in. 

And I smiled.  

Moral of this story:
