I've always known that healing is a necessary and needed part of life requiring me to endure some level of pain or loss. Recently, I was listening to a recording of Jean Houston and so resonated with her perspective on healing. She talked about healing as an evolutionary process instead of a redemptive process. Hearing those words sparked a deep resonance in me. I used to see healing as a destination, and now I see healing as a journey.
We are always healing, not because we aren't made whole yet, but because healing is the continual process of our individual and collective growth; bringing into being all the parts of who we are called to be into the world. This reorientation of healing gives me the space to re-frame my challenges as opportunities in my journey of becoming.
Holding space for your greatest unfolding,
Adria
