Conference Highlight

A highlight of the Rotorua experience will be this pre-conference event where you will participate in an interactive activities designed to build cultural competency and enable you to engage confidently with Māori.

The workshop will include korerorero (discussion) with two PodiatryNZ Māori members (Lawrence Kingi and Cynthia Otene) who will bring a wealth of information and understanding to the Māori health perspective.

With your colleagues you will engage in fun and entertaining exercises where you can practice pronunciation and learn some useful phrases for engaging with Māori.  You will gain insight into fundamental Māori beliefs and knowledge of cultural etiquette.

The entire experience will be held at the amazing Te Puia and will include lunch in the fabulous Te Puia restaurant overlooking wonderous bubbling mud, pools of boiling water, and stunning geysers.

We encourage you to bring the whanau (family) and take advantage of this unique learning experience.

This workshop will provide 4 hours of Cultural Safety CPD for the Podiatrists Registration Board.
