My Sun & Shade Ministries: News & Updates

Happy Spring Everyone! Welcome to all the New Subscribers! I'm glad you joined the journey here at My Sun & Shade Ministries.

I hope all of you had a lovely Easter. We celebrated our Risen Savior with two Easter meals, one on Saturday, and one on Sunday, and they were both wonderful.

Our daughter Avery, managed to capture a few, quick pictures of me and my husband before we exited church after the Sunday Morning Easter Service, and I'm glad she did! I'm holding an Easter lily plant in the pictures. This was a gift provided by one of the ladies in our church.

I also managed to take a few pictures of Levi and River, our grandkids, and their 2nd-cousin Ruth, playing together after the Sunday Morning Easter Service. Levi, kept saying, "Happy Easter!" out loud to anyone who would listen. It was pretty cute. I'm not sure what happened to Levi's shoe during this picture, but he doesn't seem to mind that it is missing LOL
 

The month of March was pretty busy for us. My husband Aaron, who is the pastor of our church, also taught two Theological classes for the Bible school in our Fellowship, Zion Ministerial Institute. I was able to travel with him to Waverly, NY during his 1st class on, 1 & 2 Peter. Here is a picture of my desk on the first morning of classes (see below) I was gearing up to take some serious notes! And I did - a total of 30 handwritten pages over the course of 3 days!

My son, Isaiah, is in the picture below, in the front row. He typed 30 pages in the 1st session of classes. It was such a joy to accompany my husband during this trip and to see Isaiah in class, first-hand. (I didn't get a picture of whole class.)

Zion Ministerial Institute is located in Waverly, NY on Glory Hill Rd, and is the headquarters of our fellowship, Zion Fellowship International. For more information, click HERE.

Next week, my husband and I are attending the Pastor's Spring Convention at Zion Fellowship International, in Waverly, NY. We are looking forward to a time of visiting with missionaries, pastors, and friends who are pressing into God's highest purpose for their lives. I expect it will be a great time of encouragement for all. I will be sure to share pictures from this convention in the next newsletter.

Another thing we are looking forward to is the Solar Eclipse, on Monday, April 8th which is going to be VERY visible from our church parking lot! We will be joining with many others to watch this great wonder in our universe.

I finally got around to posting my new blog post --and I'm so glad I did. The message of this blog post is very current and fresh, and very relevant to many Christian women.

In this blog post, I share my latest adventure at the thrift store and how it stirred me to bring about new life in my heart. You will also find lists of Scripture verses on the topic of new life, simple definitions that will help you retain the message, and a Prayer for you at the end.
