The Rosie's Girls Afterschool Woodworking Program is now up and running! MakerSphere has partnered with Vermont Works for Women to bring this popular middle school program to Waterbury!
Girls in grades 6 - 8 are learning all about shop safety and how to use hand tools to build beginner wood projects. This program is a great learning opportunity for girls to learn trade skills that they are not typically exposed to. Besides confidence building, this program has a social and emotional component, known as “Power Skills” to help youth navigate school, friendships, and societal issues. Stay tuned for dates to sign up for the next session.
There's no shortage of creativity and fun in the youth aftershool program and during MakerSphere special events!
