Spring is here! I hope the weather is nice where you are. I finally had the chance to go out into the world and enjoy the sun and flowers.

Updates

I'm still in the process of editing my sci-fi action thriller/horror story, The Deep Dark. I describe it as Die Hard meets Aliens.

If you want to read early chapters of it (pre-Beta), you can check it out now over on Kindle Vella or by subscribing to my Patreon page. (Do you like that nice, happy Spring-time image?)

Recommendations

In Lockwood & Co, ghosts have started coming out to claim the night, and only children can interact with them, so they get the job of hunting them down and containing them. It's kind of like a Middle Grade version of Supernatural.

It's a fun series, and you can even check out the first season of the TV show on Netflix!

Reader Questions

Why did you hire a cover designer when you can just make AI art?

Answer: 1. A cover designer will hopefully make art that is cohesive, polished, and will fit the genre. 2. They're good at typography and layout. 3. It should save me time. 4. It's a learning process. I've already learned that I should have gotten an illustrated cover.

Poll

Think about blurbs for stories, whether on the back of the book or in the bookstore (Amazon) description.

Do you prefer short, to the point descriptions that just hook your attention, or longer more detailed descriptions of the story and characters?

In Closing

I hope to also start posting episodes of The Tales of Zahra 2 (Zahra and the Wrath of Sekhmet) to Vella and Patreon this month, so keep an eye out for that. If I do, and if get a final cover design for Zahra 1 soon, maybe I'll do a mid-month newsletter.

That is all.

You like it.
