What are the big impact jobs and career paths in environment and sustainability right now in Canada and Calgary? We polled our networks and arrived at several areas and leaders who are at the forefront. We know that competition is high as organizations are taking on more environmental and social responsibility, and new career paths and jobs are emerging. Come learn from four experienced and inspiring professionals about how you can make an impact - and a career out of it too!

Community Events

The Problem with Carp

Join Friends of Fish Creek with special guest Nicole Kimmel, Aquatic Invasive Species Specialist who will discuss response efforts tried or considered to date, and will share what is known about this invasive fish. This Fish Creek Speaker Series presentation will be the start of a bigger partnership opportunity where Alberta Environment and Parks can work with the Friends of Fish Creek to explore collaborative response options.

Education Leaders Virtual Forum I

January 13th, 2022

3:00pm to 4:30pm

Join ACEE for the first webinar in the series to advance environmental education and sustainability in Alberta schools! This event will include education leaders - school trustees and superintendents - to explore the evidence for environmental and sustainability education, share tangible examples from classrooms, schools and school boards and explore a framework for policies and initiatives that can support education leaders.
