The 2020 Year-End Fundraiser is more important than ever
Beginning next month, Kay Blada will officially be working hard on the 2020 Year-End Fundraiser. This year, the annual fundraiser is more important than ever. Due to political unrest in early 2020 and the onset of coronavirus, Kay Blada has experienced significant financial hardship this year. Political unrest and the impacts of COVID-19 have resulted in rising costs of supplies, inability to transport plastic to buyers in Port-au-Prince, and a decrease in donations.
As a result, we're working with about half the budget of last year. However, not a single staff member has been laid off during this time. Kay Blada is very proud to be an organization in the community that people can depend on. To continue supporting our staff, the people of Hinche, and to fulfill our year-end goals, we ask anyone who is financially able to consider donating. These donations will ensure Kay Blada can continue to work toward its mission of cleaning up the environment, providing local jobs, and empowering people.
