I don't know who needs to hear this right now but...
Buying a Tool Will NOT Fix Your Problems.
Buying a new notebook will not overhaul your entire self care routine and flip it upside down into perfection.
Buying a new planner, will not make you do your "to do's."
Buying a new laptop, will not make you want to write.
Buying a new camera, will not make you want to take more photos.
Buying a new sweater, will not make over your style preferences.
Buying a new water bottle will not make you drink more water.
Buying a new book, will not force you to start reading every day.
Start with what you have now.
Start your journaling routine by using a notebook you already own, or a few sheets of paper.
Start achieving your to-do's by making a list on a scrap piece of paper, prioritizing 3 items a day at a time, and then DOING and crossing off the things on that list.
Start writing with what you have. Today.
Start taking photos with the camera you already have. Perhaps using your phone.
Start styling your outfits with the items you have in your closet already, in new unique ways. Have fun and get super creative with it.
Start drinking more water with the glasses and bottles already in your kitchen.
Start reading more by picking up the last book you bought in hopes of it making you want to read more.
A tool won't do the work for you. A tool won't magically mix your problems.
But the good news is, YOU can fix your problems. It's all in you, baby!
YOU HAVE GOT THIS! There is so much more power inside of you than you'll ever know.
If there is anything I've learned in my times of believing that buying something will make everything better, it's that... 1) Buying something is only doing just that... it ADDED something else to the mix. and 2) The only times I've actually overhauled my life, was when I forced myself to learn the best way that worked for me, and then I just did it! The first couple weeks of starting a new habit feel weird. But once you push through those two weeks, the next two weeks are easier. And then it becomes a habit. And then when the time is right, maybe invest in a new tool that will assist your new routine.
Hope this even made sense. But I needed this memo last week!
LUV U LAWTS! Thank you for being you.
Catch ya next Sunday,
— Christie xo
