PLEASE make sure you're loading this entire edition of The Herald! Depending on your device, The Herald may be getting "clipped" and not fully loading. The very last things you should see are the P.O. Box address and "Visit the Website" link at the bottom. If you're not seeing this, there are two things you can try. At the very top of the Herald, click on the option to View in a Browser. If that doesn't work, look for "View Entire Message" where it looks to be the end/bottom of The Herald. You should be able to click and load the rest of The Herald. Hopefully this helps some of our members, who haven't been able to hear about all of the awesome things that the Matlacha Hookers have going on! |

Kudos Corner: Travel Raffle Wrap Up |
The Travel Raffle initiative, which began with enthusiasm at Mango Mania in July 2022, faced unforeseen challenges due to Ian Hurricane, yet these volunteers showed determination to continue the efforts and persisted into 2023 and 2024. This resilience highlights the community's unwavering commitment to its goals and the ability to adapt and overcome obstacles in pursuit of those goals. The drawing was held on Monday, February 12th at the General Membership Meeting. The winner of the $2,000 travel voucher is Dan Clemens of Oregon. Dan has family here on Pine Island and will be returning in April. The Travel Raffle raised $2400, which will go towards scholarship funds. We would like to recognize these resourceful and determined volunteers: DJ Ruscik, Darcy Conner, Carolyn Ryzanych, Kelly LaMagna, Anna Van Kirk, Sherri Davis, Cindee Tolliver, Thelma Holzfield, Jennifer Holmes, Julia Gaylor, Natalie Gazda, Maria Sostre, Sandy Reynolds, and our core Merchandise Team- Jill Filgut and Jean Fromm. Additionally, we'd like to thank (and apologize!) to those volunteers we've lost track of over the last 19 months. Next time you see our volunteers, please say thank you or give a Hooker hug! Volunteers will do this by utilizing a proven curriculum designed to help children process their disaster and/or trauma experience through creative activities, person-to-person engagement, and play. The dates for Camp Noah will be March 18 – March 22 and the hours are 8am-4:30pm. They REALLY need volunteers. Please click below to view the flyer and for information about signing up to help. |

Herald and website content submissions, along with questions or concerns, should be sent to Christy Rau at MHwebmistress@gmail.com. Please do not email Christy by replying to, or forwarding a Herald publication. Since we use the free version of WIX for both our website and emails, the Herald emails actually go out under a different email address, which she does not have access to. |
