It was set up to identify and share international, European and local diabetes info and experience outlets with a purpose to tap D-PATH community into them as well as give it a chance to reciprocate with larger communities. It aims to help the dissemination arm of the project create the promised D-PATH influence area at international, European and partnership levels. |

It was developed to promote the project activities, partnership, outcomes and resources as well as link -PATH to the future. The newsletters, one every three months, are meant to spread information about D-PATH activities to the networked target groups, staff , local partners, European and international organizations from the diabetes communities identified earlier. The Blog details the research and D-PATH outcomes and their advances as awareness raising resources such as the D-PATH strategic game, modular workshops explaining how the body functions to people with diabetes and metabolic disorders; resources include D-PATH promo and identity materials as well as publications as is the case. Last but not least, events includes the D-PATH calendar with dates and descriptions. |

It is meant to collect and share photos and videos from the project activities in Poland (August 2022) and Romania (May 2023) as well as from local info-sessions and other activities that take place in the partner countries between the two meetings and afterwards, till the end of the project. |

Where D-PATH was prepared to join hands with D-CAMP at Przemysl ,Poland… |

D CAMP was planned to take place between the 31st of July and the 7th of August 2022 at Przemysl, Poland . Expected participants included people with type 1 & 2 diabetes such as children, adolescents and adults. The plan of indoor and outdoor activities contained a mix of cycling attractions in the wilderness or the Tour de Pologne route, sport, education and art work. The group of exceptional CAMP participants was expected to be joined by the best D-PATH staff from Poland, Romania, Italy, Greece and Sweden creating an international atmosphere. The common background of the two actions is diabetes and they enforce each other. D-PATH added categorical awareness raising leverage approaching the psycho-physical well-being of people with type 1 and 2 diabetes, as well as metabolic diseases, while D-CAMP came up with participants’ hands on training. D-CAMP funding coming from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway from the EEA and Norway Grants under the Active Citizens – Regional Fund Programme joined the D-PATH support coming from the Erasmus+ Small Scale Strategic Partnerships project as part of Adult Education . |

A collection of pictures illustrate the wide variety of workshops and activities that took place during the D-CAMP at Przemysl, 31July-7 August. Children and adults got inspiration on how to approach their everyday difficulties generated by diabetes. Trainers and D-PATH staff directed the hands on learning process. Educators and learners were on full boarding and all resources were made available over the duration of the camp thanks to the D-PATH and D-CAMP funding as well as support from local partners. |

Networking to diabetes patients benefit in the D-PATH countries |
|

It was founded in 1975 and operates as an IDF member since 1976. They have got 1594 members. It is a non-profit scientific association to promote education and research in the field of diabetes. |
|
|
PDA is the oldest patients’ association in Poland. Their goal is to educate people with diabetes and their relatives in the field of living with the disease. They also integrate the community of patients and their families. In addition, they represent diabetics before the state authorities and strive for the best conditions and access to treatment and promote awareness of diabetes in society. Currently, they have nearly 350 wards and circles throughout the country, associating a total of about 60,000 patients. In 1991, the Association became a member of the International Diabetes Federation . In 2008, the Association also joined the International Alliance of Patients' Organizations based in London and became a member of the World Patients Alliance (www.worldpatientsalliance.org) based in the USA in 2021 . |

Set up in 2001 at Cluj, Romania, member of IDF since 2011, the RDF has got the Romanian Society of Diabetes Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, the Romanian Association of Educators in Diabetes as founder members. |

The Romanian Society for Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic disease represents the professional universe of diabetes specialists. Since 2018 they have had a new approach with a focus on diabetes and associated diseases, patients’ education and international cooperation |

The Community include 235 patients’ associations. It governs 6 regional centers and covers 16 medical areas of which one is the Diabetes community RODIABET is a digital platform of the Romanian diabetes community, launched in March 2018 which approaches themes of interest for the persons with diabetes. |

The National Association for Diabetes in Sweden was set up in May 1943 at the initiative of the local associations in Landskrona, Halmstad and Helsingborg. It was these three compounds together with the newly formed association in Malmö who laid the foundation for today's organization. Their goal is to minimize the impact of diabetes . The Association is made of around 24 000 members and has 96 local branches and 19 regional branches. All around Sweden, the local and regional branches work to influence diabetes-related issues and to offer activities for its members. Members between the ages of 15-30 have the opportunity to get involved in Young Diabetes. Young Diabetes is a part of the association that works to provide a community, information, inspiration and support for young people with diabetes. |
