We ask that all participants purchase and read Waking Up With Everyone Around Us. Some of our time together will be practicing the process, and some of it will be discussing the book, which shows you how and why to bring more clarity, purpose, authenticity, connection, and open heartedness into your life, and into the lives of those around you. |

Greetings from Dale and Valerie We are thrilled and honored to be offering our second introduction to this powerful group-based process. Steiner's work is truly a new contribution to relational group dynamics, and it's also fun to read. [Dale's perspective:] I loved his radically ambitious goal of showing the world how to become more peaceful and loving, but I didn't know if I'd be a good participant in the "heart circles" that the book described. I am usually better at helping fix problems than at asking for people to receive whatever my heart has to share. And that process of asking for attention and then generously offering it was about all the participants were asked to do.
The good news is that it worked out, and we want to offer it again. "This group has brought a lot of good changes," wrote one participant. "I’m finding it difficult to find the right words," wrote another, "to convey just how special and meaningful this experience has been for me." Together we learned that we could slow down our minds and open our hearts. My world has become deeper emotionally thanks to this simple process. As for what to expect, the gatherings offer stillness, clarity, connection, and a peaceful way of being - that’s it! They begin with silence, then a quick check-in, then appreciations, then the simple but profound process of holding space for yourself and others, then closing. Group-supported self-inquiry is accessible to everyone. Where: Sylvan Lake, MI When: Saturdays, 2 - 4 pm, Nov 12 - Dec 17 Cost: $100 [Venmo (Valerie-Weir-1), cash, check, or Paypal] Limited to 8 participants More information: 248 346-2014

The Circle's Purpose It is to create an intentional social container in which people practice being Clear, Present, Real, Connected, and Heart-Directed together. Embedded within this purpose is the opportunity for people to change the mass culture agreements now in play. -- Tej Steiner There is no philosophical or spiritual agendas in the time we will spend together. Just a willingness to come as you are and for us to be together. Our individual and group agreement will be what Steiner refers to as "the five ways of being." These are the agreements:
Wanting to explore our life's purpose - being clear Wanting more stillness within our selves and one another - being present Wanting more spontaneous and authentic togetherness - being real Wanting to practice giving and receiving love - being connected Wanting to support one another in finding and following what we want - being heart-directed
This doesn’t mean we will DO this. It means we make an agreement to WANT these ways of being this way in ourselves, relationships and communities. We will collectively inquire and provide plenty of space over the six weeks for each person to communicate sincerely and honestly. The conversation itself acts as the facilitator. In time we become more coherent, our defenses are lowered, and the nervous system begins to balance out by simply returning to these inquiries. By sustaining these agreements, trust grows and community is possible.
