Forgive & Forget

NEWSLETTER

WHAT?

Halloween isn't about the candy?

Seriously??

"What IS Halloween?"  I either never knew or could not remember.

Halloween comes from Celts, who lived 2000 years ago.  They celebrated the New Year on November 1, while October 31st was considered the transition day, showing the end of summer and harvest (orange), into the beginning of the dark,

cold winter (black).

It was believed the bounty between the living and the dead clashed

and became blurred on October 31st, so the Celts held a festival to straighten all that out, but mainly honor the good Spirits.

There were many activities including a huge bonfire so gifts could be burned/offered to the spirits. Costumes were worn to scare the unwelcome spirits and ghosts.

It was believed the good Spirits helped the Druids (Celtic Priests) make predictions about the future.

Their predictions gave hope to people during the long, dark winter.

PERSONAL NOTE

Yep, I disappeared.  Poof.

COVID had little to do with it, although what a great "cover" for laying low

and staying quiet.

Truth be told, I unwittingly derailed after I released the last 3 Podcasts.

My health took a crap,

and the tears flowed.

It appears I am in tandem with the origin of Halloween as mentioned above, shifting from one season into another.  My transition has been blurry, and many things have clashed.

While the Universe is exhaling today, I am exhaling.  Tomorrow, November 1, the Universe will inhale, and so will I.

I managed to collect "Hope" along with my Halloween Reeses,

Kit Kats and Candy Corn.

I will share them with the Druids.

See you guys soon-
