In October, the WCoFH hosted a Halloween Movie for the Children, who all dressed up in their best Halloween costumes to watch Casper at the MLFD Firehouse! We were joined by One River School, who provided crafts for the kids with halloween sketches, coloring and button making! The Club was able to fundraise and donate to M.A.X. Manhasset Afterschool Xperience. The rain could not stop us from having our Charity Concert for Mr. V, who is currently battling ALS. The event was moved indoors and was a huge success! We enjoyed live music by Country Line, a local long island country-rock-pop band. The Club has donated the proceeds of the event to the family of Mr. V, who for those who don't know, is a Port Washington resident and Manhasset Chorus teacher. He was very involved in both communities, and selecting a musical event seemed like the best way to support Mr. V! We will hop for better weather next year to host the Concert in the Park! This month is No Bare feet November! The Women's Club of Flower Hill is collecting adult socks for the homeless. We have collaborated with One Love Outreach Mission, a local Manhasset organization that distributes necessity bags filled with toiletries, snacks, hats & gloves, clothing, and water directly to people who are homeless and in need in NYC and Long Island. |

This month, the WCoFH will be hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year! On November 30th, we invite you to join us for our Annual Christmas Luncheon. On December 3rd, we will be participating in Light the Night, and will be holding our 2nd Annual Christmas Tree & Menorah Lighting on the same night. Registration is now open for our Holiday-Card Making Workshop on December 14th at One River Art School. We hope you can join us!
