OCEANIUM SUCCESS WITH

INNOVATE UK GRANTS!

Oceanium is thrilled to share we were successful in securing more Innovate UK grant funding.  First up- Smart Grant I, currently in progress and to be completed next summer, will support Oceanium's development of protein and fibre derived from sustainably sourced seaweed. Smart Grant II will focus on the further development of our seaweed-based bio packaging and provides for us to hire a full-time Materials Innovation Scientist.  This is an 18-month project and the outcomes will include tested and analysed prototypes - exciting stuff! Some images of the first iterations of our biopackaging are below, these are the result of our first Innovate UK coupled with Sky Ocean Ventures funding.  Last but by no means least, funding from IUK's Sustainable Innovation Fund will enable us to maximise efficiencies from harvest through to end products.  We look forward to sharing our progress in future newsletters.  Of course, Innovate UK grants are peer-reviewed so we a real testament to our

science and technology.
