Dear Friends,

“You can’t always get what you want” is not only a very good song, but also one of life’s hardest lessons. Life comes differently than you envisioned it, in good ways as well as in bad, and rarely the way you wanted it. But isn’t that the beauty of it all? 

Luckily there are a lot of things we can get if we want them. You just have to put the right kind of effort in to it. Which brings me to another great song: “God knows (You gotta give to get back)”. This year has been filled with hardships that none of us would have ever imagined. The backlash of the lockdown is hitting some of us harder than others.

Which is why, among other things, we are giving the Nicola Werner Challenge to you this year. We are hoping that this will encourage all of you, to help us with supporting cancer research and spreading the word about HPV related cancers, through your donations and fundraising activities.

Your efforts will not go unnoticed, and we want to give back to you. This year the law firm LPA-CGR avocats is giving a very special reward to the NWC. LPA-CGR avocats is a French business law firm with a strong German French focus. Several of its partners are riding the NWC challenge this year and the firm is proud to support the project!

The 3 best fundraisers and 2 selected guests of the NWC community will be invited to watch the arrival of the Tour de France, scheduled for September 20th, from one of the best roof terraces on the Champs Elysées, with an exquisite French buffet. Each guest may bring a +1.
