As Pride seasons finish, teams re-energize for next year! #JoinThePCAFam is PCA’s new Facebook & Instagram hashtag for Member Team tryouts, clinics, bootcamps, open gyms, info sessions, and all ways to JOIN our Member Teams! If there’s not a team in your area yet, START ONE! In PCA's position as a human rights-focused nonprofit, ADVOCACY is the name of the game. It is PCA's duty and privilege to promote voter education and voter engagement, in a non-partisan and unbiased manner. This year PCA is running a 3-part advocacy series called "💜 VOTE!" Part 1 was in April, with a call to awareness about registering! Vote.gov and vote411.org have links to register, check or change your registration, and learn about deadlines and about what is on the ballot in your area. And Part 2 just dropped! Our message is simple:
💜 VOTE! Vote on principle. Vote on platform. Vote on purpose! |

David Smith splits his time between marketing for PCA, writing for @CompeteMagazine, clinical work with athletes, promoting his @StonewallPerformance and #FitWIthPride mantra, preparing to defend his PhD dissertation, and transitioning to his new job as a full time lecturer sport psychology consultant for SUNY - Oneonta! CONGRATS! (Click to watch the full FACES playlist!) July’s “FACES” Feature: Nguyen Pham Nguyen Pham of San Francisco, CA “used to think cheerleading was silly.” That was 20+ years ago. Now, Nguyen’s voice carries far and wide as he speaks with sincerity about how volunteering with PCA allows him to “mobilize (his) passion for community organizing and charitable fundraising!” Nguyen’s whole adulthood full of experiences with CHEER San Francisco helped shape his identity, propel his activism, and launch him toward the other community roles including Mr. Mensa, Mr. Gay San Francisco, San Francisco Pride Board Secretary and President, and, most recently, President of the Mensa Foundation.
