Well, another month has gone by and I am not sure what even happened. Having 4 litters at one time was so much fun and hard all at the same time. Winnie's litter just turned 6 weeks old and are at the best stage, in my opinion. They are figuring out where to potty, jumping all around and then completely crashing! Just a few more days with those little fur balls. The kids have been extremely busy in the barn. They spent the month of April freezing their little butts off at 3 cattle shows. They showed pigs for the first time this season last weekend, and we have 3 more shows this month. We have another week to prepare a little better and they are working hard to improve for the next show. In just a month, we will start having our summer litters. I am already preparing for another set of crazy times. We are now in the final countdown for summer at school. The kids are more than ready for school to be out, and I can't argue either. The days are way to jam packed with going to school. It leaves very little time to get chores done. I am looking forward to the longer days and summer nights. Bring on summer, ~Elly |

What I am Reading & Watching |
|
|
| | This is the last book of the series. I attached a link below to Amazon that has the whole collection. 6 books, and you really needed to start at the beginning. Sean King & Michelle Maxwell are former Secret Service turned Private Investigators. It is a great read. I have been listening to these books as I run a few times a week. Highly recommend! | | |

| | This show was only one season...what a bummer! I am glad that I have read all but one of the last books first. They leave so much out, but it is still a good show. It is suspenseful yet not too much to where I can't watch it before I go to bed. If you want a quick show to binge watch this is it. 10 episodes less than an hour long. | | |

Ears. I am a stickler for ears. I like them completely folded over, and down. I don't like even the slightest "prick." Here is the things.... there are so many variables that go into correctly set ears. Teething, nutrition & genetics. We strive really hard to raise dogs that are structurally correct to breed standard. Sometimes, it just doesn't happen. Here is a short article that I like that explains to easily.

Ticks attach to your dog by inserting their mouthparts into your dog’s skin. Many ticks also produce a sticky, gluelike substance that helps them to remain attached. After attaching to your dog, ticks begin feeding on your dog’s blood. The places where ticks attach can become red and irritated. So many times we forget dogs need structure and rules and exercise that it ends up leading to behavior problems. Now is the time to give a preventative if you haven't already. There are a lot of options on the market. I will link a New York Times article that highlights some of the top products. We do use the top two products, Bravecto and Nexgard. It just depends on what dog we are giving it to. I am looking into natural/holistic methods. Like anything, do your research and see what works best for you and your furry friend. |

When we send puppies home, we send a sample of our favorite pet shampoo from Monat. I signed up to be a Market Partner 5 years ago when they launched and believe in all their products 100% I used their haircare and skincare line. So does Sydney and Jackson. Wade still uses Melaleuca...it's about the only thing that gets piggy smells out, LOL! If you are interested in getting some or the spray, here is a link.
