AAW in Action!

 

AAW Board Member, Ron French at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with DNR Secretary Preston Cole for the Elroy - Sparta Trail on May 14.

 

Thousands of students and chaperones  experienced what outdoors access means by using and seeing the OWC in action at the Midwest Outdoor Heritage Education Expo (MOHEE) on May 18-19.

 

All terrain Wheelchairs by AAW ready to take on all terrain at the Lincoln County Sports Club Open house in Merrill, WI on May 21st.

 

 

AAW shared with Master Naturalist's in training the outdoor wheelchair, and how it is a fantastic tool, making the outdoors accessible and inclusive for all!

Lincoln County Sports Club becomes newest host of an all-terrain outdoor wheelchair

LINCOLN COUNTY, Wis. (WSAW) - The Lincoln County Sports Club has become one of the newest hosts for Access Ability Wisconsin. A host is an organization that maintains and houses the all-terrain wheelchairs for people in the community to use. Access Ability Wisconsin is a non-profit organization that provides people with mobility issues equal access to enjoying the outdoors.

 

“This is my Grandpa Robert Ebner is a 97-year-old World War II vet, who operated a Box Factory in Cameron WI and

had years in the county forestry board.

This was his first walk in the woods in years.
