Welcome to Septembers Newsletter! I hope everyone has had a great summer break! I loved August and was here, there, and everywhere, enjoying the sun, rain, wind...! I know many of us continue to exercise over the summer but it's not always the same and after taking a break from our usual routines of exercise it's always hard to get back into it but NOW it's time!! So let's jump back into it, saddle up and set our fitness schedule!
Even though we've almost missed a summer season of sunshine we still need to keep our body all sunny and spritely so how about challenging yourself,setting new goals, and make positive changes that will resonate well beyond the Autumn months. Come on, let's embrace September together!
Of course there are Hummingbird Pilates & Fitness Sessions, but to give your week an extra boost, and to keep you moving and feeling fab all month long! Why not try something different....here's a few ideas
1. "Step" Into September: From MONDAY 2nd September, set a daily step goal. Use a pedometer or smartphone app to track your progress. Involve your friends, family and coworkers in a friendly step competition to keep the motivation high Check out my website for more information and how to get 10% discount of September classes with Hummingbird Pilates & Fitness
2. Goal Setting: September is usually my detox/ get back on track - (summer is my indulgence where I take time out from set goals!). Everyone needs time to reset. What's your goals? Do you need help setting any? How close are you to achieving them? Reflect on your lifestyle then progress and set actionable, realistic goals for the coming months.
3. Nutritional Reset: This can be the hardest change but sometimes you have to look at your diet - start to incorporate seasonal fruits and vegetables. Apples, pears, squash, and sweet potatoes can all add both flavour and nutrition to your meals. Experiment with new recipes that align with your fitness goals (check out my recipes page on my website)
4. My FitnessPal App : Log the food you eat - you might be surprised! Are you getting all the right nutrients, eating enough or eating too many calories? This App is great for this. Scroll down for further information on how to use the My FitnessPal FREE App.
5. Run/Walk : Find a local run/walk see what's happening in the local park walks happening this month. These could help you stay motivated to complete your chosen distance. Remember, every step makes a difference! Park Run is a fantastic way to meet lots of wonderful people with all sorts of targets.
6. Mind-Body Wellness Fusion: September isn't just about physical fitness—it's also an excellent time to focus on mental and emotional well-being. Consider incorporating mindfulness practices like Pilates, yoga, meditation, or deep breathing into your routine.
7. Reflect and Renew: Take a moment to reflect on your fitness journey so far. What have you accomplished, and what challenges have you overcome? Celebrate your successes, and acknowledge the dedication you've shown to your health.
Let September be a month of renewed energy, determination, and excitement for your fitness journey. Remember, you have the power to create positive change in your life, one step at a time. Here's to a month filled with achievements, growth, and a healthier you!
