THE EARLY BIRD MEMBERSHIP RATE FOR ORGANISATIONS ENDS FEB 28 RENEW NOW to take advantage of all membership benefits! | | |
Dear CCCHS Members, Our fingers and toes were crossed that we could make the March meeting in person, but in an abundance of caution, we decided to keep it virtual one more month. Hopefully, in April we can return to warmer temperatures and an in-person option. Although we will be virtual, this is still a busy time for Council.
There will be no in-person Super Fair this year, but the committee has been hard at work organizing the Super Fair Guide. This is your chance to receive a free listing in The Gazette. The special publication will include articles from members, the directory of organizations, and also organization advertisements. If you haven't already done so, please take a few minutes to complete your organization's free listing. The deadline to complete is March 31. Also, as you will see below, we are working to honor our Rose Cologne Volunteers similar to what we did last year. If your organization would like to take advantage of this wonderful member benefit, please read below for more information.
And don't forget, to benefit from these great opportunities, your organization's membership dues for 2022 must be paid. Just jump on our website to complete or reach out to our membership chair, Jennifer Eisenhuth (JEisenhuth@sfionline.org) to confirm your membership! I hope to see you next month in person! Centre County Still Labeled ‘HIGH’ COVID-19 Community Level Under New CDC MetricsBy Keely Doll,Centre Daily Times February 25, 2022 5:20 PM Centre County is still labeled as a high COVID-19 risk community under new measures released in a Friday update from the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC released an interactive map labeling communities by COVID-19 spread, using new measures that focus less on positive test results and more on the situation at local hospitals. In the new update, only areas with high community levels are recommended to continue masking while indoors. “Levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area,” the update said. Free N95 Masks Are Coming to Pennsylvania By Keely Doll, Centre Daily Times Updated January 26, 2022 4:42 PM |
Are you looking for free N95 masks? The federal government is sending more than 400 million masks to health centers and pharmacies across the country. The masks will come from the Strategic National Stockpile and are limited to three per person. N95 masks offer better protection against the COVID-19 virus and have been both expensive and hard to find. Where can I find free masks in Centre County? Starting next week, many national and local pharmacies will be distributing masks. The N95s will be distributed by pharmacies through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, which included Walgreens, Rite Aid and CVS. Rite Aid, on North Atherton, will have masks at the front entrance and the pharmacy once the shipment comes in. Pharmacies inside of grocery chains Weis, Wegmans and Giant will also be a part of this program. A complete list of pharmacies in the federal program can be found on the CDC’s website. |
