Bisbee Science LabInterns Celebrate a Successful Summer! |
A few BSL high school interns pose with Danielle Bouchever, who, along with her husband Sloane Bouchever, funded our summer internship program. Over the summer, these interns ran a variety of STEM based programs for the Boys & Girls Club, oversaw Open Lab hours, and worked on developing an exhibit around our Minke whale! Want to support our interns as they continue to run STEM programming during the school year? Donate today! |

Upcoming Science Café: Biodiversity in the Sky Islands |
Join us for our next Science Café, featuring Paul Hirt, founding member of Sky Island Alliance! The “Sky Islands”—a vast mountain and valley landscape spanning portions of Arizona, New Mexico, Sonora, and Chihuahua—are a treasure trove of biological diversity. From deserts to mixed conifer forests the region’s ecosystems flourish at the intersection of five overlapping biotic provinces: the Sonoran Desert, Chihuahuan Desert, Rocky Mountains, Sierra Madre Mountains, and Neotropics. The unique location and features of this region support a cumulative biodiversity that is unparalleled in North America. This presentation by Paul Hirt highlights what is so special about this binational Sky Island region and the conservation challenges we face in protecting and restoring its remarkable biodiversity heritage. Sunday September 12th 3:00-5:00pm The Courtyard, 18 Brewery Ave, Bisbee |
