It's the "dog days of summer" and if you need a cool refresher, stop in for one of our clubs. We have Crochet Club from 11:30 - 1:30 on Wednesdays, Open Sew on Thursdays from 4:00 - 7:30, Knit and Crochet Club on Fridays from 2:00 - 5:00 and Family Sewing Club every Saturday from 11:00 - 1:00. Of course we also have some great classes where you can learn to sew, create hand knotted prayer beads, and hand embroider. Check out the calendars on our web page. We've been receiving lots of great Donations so we thought this might be a good time to review our donation policy. Meet the four Summer 2019 interns. Miracle, Analese, Mads, and Alana. Four talented young women working at our shop this summer. We have an aspiring nurse practitioner, video game story board artist, hedgehog breeder and perhaps someday a project manager. They all happened upon this internship mostly through a recommendation from a parent or friend. We hope they all keep reaching for the stars, but we get to enjoy their company this summer. They are not only learning to sew, knit, and crochet, they are learning about customer service, community involvement and working with others in a small non profit business. |

Fearless Fashion Camp started last week and continues for another week. The participants started the week by sketching up a concept of a design for an outfit. We have created a webpage to show off their work in progress. Check it out at FearlessFashion2019 |

Donated materials are used in our sewing, knitting, crochet and other classes, resold in our store to support learning programs for people of all ages, or used for charitable sewing projects. We love donations, but we can only accept items that can be reused. We also need to keep a check on our inventory as space is limited. For example, we currently have many cabinet sewing machines and cannot accept more cabinets at this time. Donations are tax-deductible—and every donation keeps these items out of landfills. SewGreen@Rochester. Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The complete donation policy is on our website at sewgreenrochester.org/donate. If you have something that you would like to donate to sew green, you may bring it to the shop during our donation drop off times. Tuesdays 2 to 6 p.m. Fridays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays 1 to 3 p.m. |
