Cactus and Tryzub team is partnering up with Saperavi USA to bring you an evening of warm hospitality, Ukrainian music, vital conversations, and a Ukrainian art exhibit by the talented Mila Strugatsky. The Wine and Art fundraiser event will take place at RNDC warehouse in Phoenix on April 1st from 5:00-7:00pm. Tickets are limited and include delicious food paired with Ukrainian sparkling wines from Artwinery. Funds raised at this event will go to support two causes: Help Ukraine Center USA as well as Ukrainian Wine Making Reconstruction Fund and Artwinery workers as they gather in a secret location to hand package evacuated wines from Bakhmut. Help Ukraine Center is one of the biggest hubs of humanitarian aid in Eastern Europe, delivering humanitarian and medical supplies to Ukraine.

Summer Camp Not-A-Wheeze for Children with Asthma

Organizers of an annual summer camp which takes place in June in Heber, AZ are inviting Ukrainian children ages 7-14 who struggle with asthma to attend camp Not-A-Wheeze free of charge. Registration is due April 30th and requires a medical note which covers child's medication regimen.

February happenings....

On February 5th, Cactus and Tryzub hosted a conversation with Thomas Wotka of the US Department of State and a unit lead on Eurasian Affairs. Mr. Wotka answered emotionally charged questions from the audience and explained the current administration's position on the war in Ukraine.

Cactus and Tryzub hosted an informational seminar for Ukrainian refugees on February 11th at the Ukrainian Cultural Center.

On February 25th, Ukrainian and Iranian communities joined voices in a peaceful protest against tyranny in Scottsdale. Event highlights included moving speeches and an emotional tribute to Ukraine war anniversary.

Cactus and Tryzub is saying "Thank You" to one of our dedicated volunteers. Khrystyna Shkudor has been supporting us since May of 2022. Khrystia is a talented writer and a passionate speaker. Her communication talents, acquired through a longstanding career in journalism, have been tremendous assets to our Ukraine support initiative. Khrystyna is returning to beloved Kyiv and she will be sorely missed.

Upcoming events

Cactus and Tryzub is organizing a delegation of Arizona constituents to travel to Washington DC and advocate for Ukraine at the Ukraine Action Summit. The Summit is organized by the American Coalition for Ukraine and will take place on April 23rd - 25th on Capitol Hill. Arizona delegation will meet with the AZ congressmen and participate in focused workshops.
