July 1, 2024

Dear Friends,

We hope this newsletter finds you healthy, in good spirits and with promising plans for the long Independence Day weekend!

The excitement continues to build at Gotcha Covered Apparel! We have stepped up plans for ICAST in Orlando July 16-19, 2024 and the Deer Expo here in Birmingham July 19-21, 2024. (We will have special Deer Expo pricing on our gaiters).

We have two new employees that will provide some extra fire power for the future. Parke Cooper from Atlanta has been a staunch supporter of ours since the beginning and will be joining us in a sales role, one he is not unfamiliar with having spent over 30 years in sales. He is recently retired from his previous profession and expressed a desire to come to work with us to continue his passion of selling a product he firmly believes in. A passionate fly fisherman, Parke will help direct our fishing apparel sales and will be onboard for ICAST. Josh Guthrie has joined GC and will also work in sales. Josh is a wildlife biologist and spends most of his time managing a wild quail plantation. He is an avid deer hunter and will be a great asset for us on the hunting side. He will work with Kelly and Sonny at the Deer Expo and will continue to help us market our hunting apparel.

Speaking of apparel, pictures and descriptions of our new early Fall line-up will be available on our website shop by mid-July. These include Men’s Camo LS T’s in Tan, Aqua & Green and our Men’s and Women’s patent pending Hoodies in Aqua Camo, Blue and Aqua. You can PRE-ORDER and expect delivery by August 30. Also, Samples will be available at the Deer Expo and at ICAST.

I’m pleased to report we added two new retailers in June to our growing list of satisfied partners;

Upstream Fly Fishing is not only a new customer but our first international customer.

Headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, owners Andrew and Warren have a great shop and cater not only to freshwater fishermen but the saltwater enthusiast that travel over to the Seychelles, the Holy Grail of saltwater fishing locations in the world. Really nice guys that I enjoyed spending time with.

The Caddis Fly Angling Shop in Eugene, Oregon has also signed on and placed it’s first order this week. I met owner Chris Daughters on a fishing trip to Cuba in April. An extremely knowledgeable and successful guide, travel consultant and fly shop owner, it’s an honor for GC to have the opportunity to serve his business.

Until the GC gaiter hit the market people had tried all kinds of methods to improve the breathing of competitors’ gaiters. Desperate for more air this customer had resorted to using a hot screw driver to enlarge the tiny breathing or “choking” holes.

Thank you again to all of our customers, both retail and individuals! We hope you will come by booth # 4202 at the Deer Expo and/or booth # 95 at ICAST to visit and add to your gaiter collection and check out our new threads! We are also on Instagram, GOTCHACOVEREDAPPAREL. We’d love for you to share some pictures and reviews.

Until we see you in a couple of weeks or until our next newsletter, stay cool and practice, practice, practice!

Kevin
