Message from the Treasurer

Good evening campers,

We had a very productive finance meeting on Saturday, July 8th. We had a lot of good discussion and thorough discussion. We came up with an amount for the dues next year that I will present to the Board at the July Board meeting on the 16th. If board approves it will go to membership for vote in August with election packets.

As a reminder there will be a town hall meeting on July 15th @1pm so members can ask questions about the proposed budget.

I want as many people at this meeting as possible. It will be a very important and informative meeting. I am hoping by getting questions answered at this meeting we can pass this budget on the first go around.

Thank you

Justin Bosilovich

It's a Party

The Adult (18+) BEACH POOL PARTY is this coming Saturday, July 15, from 6-9pm.

Location:  The Pool. If it would happen to rain, the pool committee said the party’s not stopping, it’ll be underneath the overhang by the rec hall.

What to bring:  We are asking that everybody who attends to bring a covered dish if able with them. This should mainly be finger foods and/or desserts. Please do not bring crockpots or anything that requires electric. Assume a serving size for 20 people.  Your covered dish must also be in a plastic container  or any other container that cannot break .

Refreshments: Please bring your own refreshments to drink as none will be provided.  Keep in mind that NO ALCOHOL will be permitted or anything in a glass bottle.

Music: We will be having a DJ (Chuckie) providing all the fun and entertainment, and also great music.

Games: We will have a variety of games to play with prizes for events such as boat races, best cannon ball, best belly smacker, and more.

What to Wear: Any beach / Hawaiian or swimsuit attire is recommended.  You do not have to go into the pool for this event, this will be an adult get together.  If you never been to the pool, this will be a great opportunity to come into the pool area and mingle.

Volunteers: As always, we are always looking for volunteers. We will be starting to set up for this event at 2 PM at the pool. If you’re able to come, please stop by and help out. Also, we will need volunteers to help clean up at 9 PM.

I would like to thank the pool committee and rec for putting on this great event.

The project to replace hydrants containing lead components is currently underway. As the contractors move throughout the park, water shutoffs are necessary and the members are being notified of these shutoffs by email. Just to be safe, if contractors have been in your area, be sure to flush your hydrant before turning on the water.

The July Newsletter is now available for review.

Some Reminders

Committees Are Active

Camping season is in full swing. There are lots of activities, swimming at the pool, bon fires, and much more. If you think about it, keeping our campground running requires a lot of work, much of it provided by volunteers. This might be a good time to consider volunteering.

You can sign up through the website on the Park Management page. Just submit the Committee Request Form referenced on the page, and you ready to go. Just think about it.

Criminal Check for Volunteers

The Association has a policy whereby each volunteer who is involved with children must complete the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Check for Volunteers. There is no charge for this process. For further instructions on completing the form, click below.
