About Jaiksana

He arrived in Uganda in 2016. He left a Ugandan refugee camp heading home to South Sudan hoping for Peace. The peace was short-lived due to the eruption of fresh political insurgencies.

Jaiksana and his family who had not overcome the traumatizing experiences of refugee camps in Uganda were hesitant to leave South Sudan.  The continuous conflicts pushed them from village to village until they eventually ended up at Kaya, which borders Uganda

When fighting broke out in Kimba, a nearby village it caused a general breakdown which pushed them to cross to Uganda and registered as refugees again.

The singer has since been inspired to sing about issues that challenge society such as the stigma surrounding mental health among others.
