Responcity is an innovative Social Emotional Learning program that develops, measures, and assesses future skills. Through civic engagement and problem based learning, participants learn to become better citizens while improving their communication, cooperation and presentation skills.
Responcity was chosen to be a member of SEL Providers Council, which is overseen by CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning).
The council brings together providers of social emotional learning (SEL) programs, curricula, and assessments for collective learning, thought leadership, and action.
Introduction to Responcity
Educational Programs
The term PBL can refer to four types of learning: Problem, Project, Process, or Product-Based Learning.
At Responcity, the type of PBL that we implement is Problem-Based Learning. This innovative method teaches students to take responsibility and to understand and solve problems. This approach lays the foundation for the development of the character traits of a “solutionary”. When students adapt the world view that they must act as responsible solutionaries, they learn to take it upon themselves to create a better world by addressing and solving pertinent global issues.
The highlight of the Responcity Program is the transformation of students into City Solutionaries by solving real-life municipal problems for the common good. Students and teachers manage this process through the Responcity app, collaborating and developing 21st century skills. Evaluation of skills will be conducted through our effective, data-driven, and scalable system of digital assessments.
Community centers and afterschool programs have a unique atmosphere of informal education. Responcity has custom-tailored our program to take advantage of this exciting method of student involvement. The afterschool program focuses on both learning educational material and engaging in dynamic, interactive activities. The Responcity team provides complete training for the community center staff, who implement the program.

Teacher Training
Responcity is the missing link to civic education that's needed. There is no project-based learning program that I feel is as close to the real-life workings of city government. The staff was very knowledgeable and willing to assist us.
We offer high-level professional development sessions for teachers that are facilitated by a team of internationally renowned experts in the fields of PBL (Problem-Based Learning) and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning). The training sessions enable teachers to acquire the most advanced educational tools for supporting students in creative problem-solving.

We provide an effective, data-driven, scalable system of digital assessments for these hard-to-measure skills, and deliver actionable insights to learners and educators.
