NUMBER 2

Hey everyone! Hope you had a blast this summer!

NEWS ALERT

Again, you guys are the first to know about the latest crispy news. From September 1st to October 31st, I will be "virtually" crossing Canada. What do I mean by "virtually"? With all the cyclist accidents on the roads that we hear about, I'm a little bit scared to cross Canada on my bike so I decided to do the same distance (4552km from Vancouver airport to my house) but on the roads and trails near my house where traffic is very quiet. I'm also excited to spend time at home this fall. Every Mondays, I will post my rides for the week and the link to the maps on my Facebook page. It will be a mix of gravel and mountain bike. You are all welcome to jump in for a ride!

What I've been up to?

If you didn’t have the chance to follow my trip around Gaspésie, here's a small recap!

907 KM

36:43 hours

24.7 KM/H average

134 HR

7088m of climbing

1380 TSS

161W NP average

19024 Calories

810g of Candies

3 flat tires

My bike with all my luggages was probably around 100 pounds. It was so heavy that my wheel broke 100 meters before the end of the last day. Serge and I had a blast and a lot of anecdotes that I made sure to caught on tape. It's all on my second Youtube video! Guillaume Milette, my friend and filmmaker, was not able to follow me during that time so I only filmed with my Gopro. It’s a little more RAW, but I was able to capture the best moments of the trip. Go take a look and if you want to see more videos, please subscribe to my channel.

Races!

I finally got to race a little bit! I did 3 Quebec cups and the Quebec Championships. It felt good to be back in “the red zone”. The first race was a bit of a shock to my system, but my body soon remembered how to do it ;)

Ride with kids

I was in Val-d'Or a few days ago to ride with some future athletes. It was so nice to connect with them and ride new trails as well. I will be in Mont Ste-Anne for the last Quebec cup next week but I won't be there as a racer. I want to take time to do the course inspection with the the younger athletes; helping them on the different lines on technical features, sharing with them my pre-race routines and listen to their stories! They are the future of the sport and in my opinion, it's really important to inspire them so they can inspire others afterwards.

So that's it for the moment. I hope fall will be as nice as our summer. Let me know if you are jumping on a ride with me.

See you around!
