Addressing systemic disparities is preeminent among our core strategic priorities, and it is the unifying goal of our key funding initiatives. All of our work is centered on building equity and transforming systems to create a Silicon Valley where everyone can thrive.
Racial Equity & Social Justice
Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion spans multiple initiatives.
In partnership with philanthropic and community and movement leaders, we help elevate unheard voices.
We support those who seek to empower residents of our communities who historically have been held to the sidelines by systemic injustices.
Education and action are critical. Here are key ways to make a difference.
SVCF Community Advisory Council
One of SVCF’s most important strategic goals is to address the structural systems that have created the social and economic inequities that exist in our region. Toward this goal, SVCF President and CEO Nicole Taylor created SVCF’s Community Advisory Council to engage leaders of color in ensuring that we are implementing impactful strategies and advocating for effective policies.
To engage leaders of color working to address the most significant challenges in our region and who can provide input, guidance and feedback on the implementation of SVCF’s strategic plan.
To help SVCF identify and engage emerging leaders who can share opportunities to strengthen empirical practices and/or community-driven solutions to ensure the leadership and resiliency of our community.
