Resilience in Nature

I invite to explore with me the connection with nature and sense in your body how your resilience looks like. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity, it is the ability to deal with the difficulties that life can offer us, and what does it mean to know resilience in your body? This is my personal research through experiential learning and I would love to share with you.

I truly believe that it is important to engage the body to sense it and to learn new movement and posture to enhance this quality in ourselves therefore I will start next week with a weekly meeting in the woods of Lelystad.

In autumn I will offer an online course where I combine exercises of positive pyscology and cognitive behavioural therapy with meditation and conscious movement practice. It will be online as I wish to share also with whom live far away from my home town.

Check my website and book your spot in nature.

Thanks to this technological time, it is possible to do some Playback Theatre online too. It was a pleasure to co-create together with Ms. R. Roberto the Italian version of the handout for online performances! Find both English and Italian versions in the below link.

Vrijheid (Freedom)

With my theatre group in Lelystad we are talking about Vrijheid (freedom) and due to the Covid we cannot perform any time soon. Therefore in the official website you can listen and read our stories. It is in process, but you can already find lovely sharing from the members.

I choose this image because art makes me feel free, free to express myself in the way I feel and want.

And you? What does make you feel free? Contact me if you like to share!

With Love Roberta

Here I share what I wrote about my family in Italy during the second war world. I felt so touched by writing the stories of my father and what I learn from my family.

After seeing the pictures of Freedom 75 years in the website, I feel that I would like to share my father’s childhood.

My father born in 1933 in a small village in North Italy. Few years later the second war world started and there were intense years of lack of food and abundance of cooperation between the villagers. My father told me how my grandpa shared the oven to bake bread and fight against fascism in this way. Sharing with everyone who needs it without caring of the rules.

I was always touched by the story of how my father was proud of his mother: one day a soldier speaking a completely different language came into their house, seriously injured and how my grandmother managed to help him. He could have been the enemy but my family did not care about it, my grandmother only saw a human being needing help.

Freedom is feeling that there is space in yourself to have compassion for anyone, who is different and who is similar. It is about doing what your heart tells you. Roberta Colombano
