During 2018, we were inspired meeting many of you at SXSWedu, NAAEE, giftED, TCSS and other events as we exhibited HouseStories UrbanEngineers program. We are excited to announce curriculum and kits will be available for piloting in 2019! 
Collaborating with Urban Planners, Systems Engineers, Educators and Curriculum Experts, we have designed a global journey for participants to create teams and knowledge about how to build adaptive and resilient cities.
Here is our Game Plan for use across each of four (4) unique projects 
(Arid City, Floating Coastal City, Vertical Garden City and Mars City):

Curriculum: 
-Four (4) unique city projects using mission/quest format 
-Flexible lesson plan, each city project up to nine (9) weeks
-Standards-aligned, 6-8th grades
(NGSS, CCSS, NCSS, TEKS)
-Student-driven, project based learning
-Promotes systems-thinking

Major Themes:
-Interaction of urban life with natural environments
-STEAM for resilience, adaptation and sustainability
-Resources and their life-cycles in urban systems
-Feedback loops & causal maps for communities & ecosystems

Each City Project Includes:

-Teacher Guide - pdf
-Student Passport-pdf (you will print one per student)
-Build Map - pdf (4ftx4ft to be printed)
-Handouts - pdf (11x17 and 8.5x11 to be printed as needed)
 
Build Kit:
-Build Manipulatives for class of 20-25

Anticipated Pilot Pricing:
Arid City: $200 curriculum / $60 build kit
 
Vertical Garden City: 
$200 curriculum / $125-150 build kit
 
Floating Coastal City: 
$200 curriculum / $125-150 build kit
 
Mars City: $250 curriculum (built kit included in digital download)
