There are routes with different colors & levels that indicate difficulty! Climbers call routes "problems," because a route is a rock-puzzle to solve. There's lots of technique in bouldering. Plus, I have really muscley fingers now... I wonder if it will affect how I draw? |

I have a super cool sketchbook handmade by a local shop with Strathmore paper sewn into an old book cover. I don't know what book Children Are People was, but the title makes it a great sketchbook cover for a children's book illustrator I think. (It's kind of my mantra.) |

Lately I've been sketching with negative space. I use a carpenter's pencil to shade a darker value around something lighter. Things look less controlled and more delightfully wonky, like this moose. |

I painted Eva's special ice cream treat, kulfi, on the windows of my local bookstore. YUM! (and it was almost cold enough to freeze some Kulfi when I painted it!!! BRRR 😂) Eva is a creative entrepreneur that doesn't give up and I want everyone to meet her. |
