With the Easter holidays upon us and the desire to escape the UK at a max, this travel agent is very happy to report a hive of activity as confidence starts to return. I have spent recent weeks preparing for a high number of departures, some being holidays that I’ve moved multiple times since March 2020 and such a high emotional (and financial!) investment by all parties has made for some almost tearful, yet joyful, ‘au revoirs’.
Winter sun destinations such as Antigua, the Maldives, Mauritius and the UAE have been extremely popular, and nicely balanced by a massive increase in desire to explore chillier climes such as Lapland, Norway and Iceland.
With many of the Asian nations taking a little longer to return to the travel party, I have managed to reschedule my first carefully crafted privately guided group tour to Vietnam and Cambodia to November 2023. And plans are a-brewing for another fabulous online event with a superstar guest speaker – stay tuned! Always eager to explore new territories, I’ve also been studying up on the delightful archipelago of St Vincent and the Grenadines as a lesser-explored alternative to the Caribbean’s usual suspects.
Steve and I finally managed a tick off of one of our ‘comfort travel’ destinations (picture clue above, blog to follow shortly) and our disappearing baggage on the return resulted in me having to perform a solo Kentucky-inspired virtual cocktail making class. Oh dear.
I am deriving enormous pleasure from the fantastic reviews and blogs being sent back from recent client trips. Thank you so much for these and some lovely recent referrals, which has inspired me to collate a 'why book with me' page to help others that may need an experienced travel advisor.
I look forward to speaking to many of you over the weeks ahead.
Enjoy the spring sunshine and happy Easter!
