Johnston County Blessing Boxes

Have a blessing? Leave a blessing.  Need a blessing? Take a blessing.

While we could never predict the Covid-19 outbreak, we did know that people in our county would be willing to help their neighbors. We see this giving spirit on display in our Johnston County Blessing Boxes.

Let's continue to help our neighbors in need. If you have non-perishable food, personal hygiene items, or household goods to share, please donate them to one of the ten teal Blessing Boxes located at the fire departments of

Benson | Clayton Fire Station 1 | Clayton Fire Station 2

Kenly | Meadow | North Side Fire and Rescue Station 1 (Archer Lodge)

North Side Fire and Rescue Station 2 (Thanksgiving)

Pine Level | Selma | Smithfield.

If you are unable to donate at one of our physical locations but still wish to help, click below to make a monetary donation.  All donations made will go directly to stock the boxes. We also have an Amazon Charity List with items you can buy for our Blessing Boxes.

Blessing Boxes are designed by the Junior Women’s League of Smithfield for community members to anonymously donate or pick-up essentials like non-perishable food items and toiletries during their time of need.

We encourage community members to drop off donations at the Blessing Boxes to help keep them stocked for those in need.

Suggested donations include non-perishable food items like canned goods (soups, vegetables, chili), boxed meals, canned proteins (tuna, chicken, Vienna sausage), pasta, vitamins, canned or boxed milk, peanut butter, cereal bars, granola bars, oatmeal, grits, baby food, bottled water, etc. Hygiene items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products, soap, cleaning supplies, deodorant, Q-tips, toilet paper, diapers, tissues and band aids are also great donations for the Blessing Boxes.

Visit our Facebook Page for up to date inventory alerts at our boxes.

With that in mind, we are happy to share the schematics our Provisional members used to build the ten teal Blessing Boxes JWL currently has in place at local fire departments.
